Pune: Cummins Group India has launched its next-generation HELM (Higher Efficiency, Lower Emissions, Multiple Fuels) engine platforms and a suite of advanced power solutions at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. The unveiling marks a significant step towards meeting India’s environmental and energy transition goals.
The launch event featured three key innovations: the high-performance L10 engine built on the HELM platform, an advanced Hydrogen Fuel Delivery System (FDS) with Type IV storage vessels, and the B6.7N natural gas engine. These cutting-edge products were presented as part of an integrated powertrain solution tailored for India’s evolving commercial vehicle (CV) sector.
Product Highlights
HELM Engine Platforms:
The HELM platforms are designed to deliver high performance, flexibility, and sustainability. They provide customers with the choice of advanced diesel, natural gas, or hydrogen engine variants, all developed on a single, adaptable platform. The HELM engines meet current BSVI standards and are future-ready for upcoming BSVII and Euro 7 emission norms.
Next-Generation L10 Engine:
The L10 engine, built on the HELM platform, is optimized for logistics efficiency and reduced emissions. Its clean-sheet design reflects Cummins’ technical expertise, offering a sustainable solution for the Indian CV market.
Hydrogen Fuel Delivery System (FDS):
The advanced FDS supports 350-bar and 700-bar hydrogen fuel storage with Type IV on-vehicle vessels. This innovation addresses critical challenges in hydrogen adoption for commercial vehicles and aligns with India’s hydrogen economy goals.
B6.7N Natural Gas Engine:
This engine offers diesel-equivalent performance while reducing carbon emissions, facilitating the adoption of CNG and LNG in heavy-duty vehicles. It underscores Cummins’ dedication to operational efficiency and environmental sustainability.
