Pune: The 13th edition of DevFest 2024, a global technology conference organized by the Google Developer Group (GDG) Pune, takes place on November 30 at Hotel Westin, Koregaon Park, Pune.
This event, renowned for its focus on knowledge exchange and networking, is expected to attract over 1,000 tech enthusiasts, including women entrepreneurs and developers.
DevFest is a worldwide initiative by Google Developer Groups to foster learning and innovation in the tech community. Each event is tailored to meet the unique interests and needs of its local developer audience.
Mahaveer Muttha, Organizer of GDG Pune, described DevFest as “an ideal platform for young developers to engage with industry leaders, learn from workshops, and participate in networking sessions focusing on cutting-edge technologies.”
This year’s theme centers on Generative AI, Responsible AI, and the Ethical Use of AI. Swapnil Jathar, Co-Organizer of GDG Pune, noted that the fest features over 40 experts across four tech tracks and a business lounge, offering discussions on more than 20 technologies.
A key highlight of the event is the Projects Showcase Booth, where companies and communities display innovative solutions, and a Career Fair offering opportunities for local developers.
Additionally, the Community Lounge will facilitate informal sessions for like-minded attendees to discuss tools, topics, and technologies in a relaxed setting.
Namrata More, Women Techmakers (WTM) Pune Ambassador, emphasized the fest’s dedication to inclusivity, noting the prominent involvement of women entrepreneurs.
“WTM Ambassadors are global leaders working to empower their communities through events, content creation, and mentoring,” she said, adding that the initiative aims to create a tech ecosystem where all women can thrive.
Pranoti Nandurkar, WTM Pune Ambassador, highlighted the focus on innovation and open-source solutions that can propel enterprises forward while addressing global challenges.
