Dr. Bharat Shinde Honored with Best Principal Award by Savitribai Phule Pune University

Baramati's Dr. Bharat Shinde's commitment to academic mentorship has enabled 14 students to complete their Ph.D. degrees under his guidance.

Pune: Dr. Bharat Shinde, Principal of Vidya Pratishthan’s Arts, Science, and Commerce College in Baramati, has been awarded the Best Principal Award for 2025 by Savitribai Phule Pune University. This prestigious recognition highlights his exemplary contributions to academic excellence, research, and student success.

Dr. Shinde has made significant strides in advancing the academic standards of the institution. Under his leadership, the college earned an A+ grade from the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). The college also achieved first place in the state-level "Career Katta" competition, winning a prize of ₹1 lakh.

In the last four years, 304 students from the college have cleared the Maharashtra Public Service Commission (MPSC) exams. Dr. Shinde has an impressive academic portfolio, having published 80 national and international research papers. He is also the author of 30 textbooks and has contributed to 11 other national and international books.

Dr. Shinde's commitment to academic mentorship has enabled 14 students to complete their Ph.D. degrees under his guidance. His previous accolades from Pune University include the Best Teacher Award and Best Researcher Award, further establishing his reputation as a leader in education.

Prominent leaders from Vidya Pratishthan, including President Sharad Pawar, Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, Trustees and Members of Parliament Supriya Sule and Sunetra Pawar, Vice President Adv. Ashok Prabhune, Secretary Adv. Neelima Gujar, Trustees Dr. Rajiv Shah, Kiran Gujar, Mandar Sikchi, and Registrar Shreesh Kamboj, have congratulated Dr. Shinde on his accomplishment.

Dr. Shinde’s contributions have not only elevated the institution's reputation but have also positively impacted students by providing them with enhanced opportunities in various fields.
