The Odia music scene is mourning the tragic passing of the celebrated singer Humane Sagar, who died unexpectedly at the age of 34, leaving fans and peers in disbelief. As tributes flood in from everywhere, his last Instagram post has gained viral attention, amassing thousands of responses as fans revisit the voice that defined a generation of Odia music. The clip, featuring him singing fervently at a radio station, serves as a poignant reminder of a gifted artist lost too early.

Heartfelt tributes flood in following the passing of Humane Sagar

As per a TOI report, Humane Sagar was taken to AIIMS Bhubaneswar on October 14, arriving at the emergency room at approximately 1:10 pm in a serious condition. He was promptly moved to the Medical ICU by doctors, where a specialized team conducted numerous tests and administered intensive care. Nonetheless, his health deteriorated further in the subsequent days despite the medical interventions.

On November 17, at 9:08 pm, Humane Sagar died from multi-organ dysfunction syndrome. AIIMS Bhubaneswar later released an official statement confirming the tragic incident and detailing the severe health problems he was experiencing, including bilateral pneumonia, acute on chronic liver failure (ACLF), dilated cardiomyopathy, severe respiratory failure, kidney injury, coagulopathy, and thrombocytopenia. The news sent shockwaves through the music industry and beyond.

As the industry grieves, fans are revisiting his final Instagram post to reconnect with the artist. Shared on November 7, the video shows him performing 'Bhagya Rekha' during a radio session, a song from the 2024 Odia album of the same title. The album included music by Baidyanath Dash, Humane Sagar, and Antara Chakraborty. With just one song in the album, this track has now taken on a deeper emotional significance for listeners.

The remarks on the post reflect the shared sorrow of his fans. One individual commented, 'Legends never die,' while another expressed their disbelief at the news. Numerous comments resonated with a common feeling, assuring the singer that his 'legacy will live on in the hearts and lives he influenced.' The video remains popular, with admirers spreading it across various platforms as a way to say goodbye.

Additionally, merely two days prior to his death, ex-Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik voiced his worries about the singer's health on X (previously known as Twitter). In his statement, Patnaik hoped for Sagar's quick recovery and extended his wishes for his strength.

Additionally, he expanded into Hindi music with the album Mera Yeh Jahan.
