Ganesh Darshan Tours in Pune to Celebrate Ganeshotsav

Tourism Department, PMPML and PMC Launch Special Bus Rides for Tourists, Senior Citizens and Differently-Abled to Visit Iconic Ganpati Mandals

Pune, 29 August 2025: Pune is gearing up for Ganeshotsav with special Ganesh Darshan tours, jointly organized by the Directorate of Tourism, Pune Mahanagar Parivahan Mahamandal Ltd. (PMPML), and Pune Municipal Corporation (PMC). The initiative will allow domestic as well as international tourists to experience the city’s most famous Ganesh mandals during the festive season.

As part of this effort, a dedicated tour for senior citizens (60 years and above) and differently-abled individuals has been planned for September 1. The bus tour will cover eight iconic mandals, Trishundya Ganpati, Kasba Ganpati, Tambdi Jogeshwari, Tulshibaug Ganpati, Dagdusheth Halwai Ganpati, Shrimant Bhausaheb Rangari Ganpati, Babu Genu Ganpati and Akhil Mandai Mandal Ganpati.

To make the journey comfortable, five air-conditioned PMPML buses with 35 seats each will operate from Katraj Depot, Hadapsar (Gadital), Kothrud Depot, Shivajinagar (Model Colony), and Yerwada (Gunjan Talkies) between 8:30 AM and 1:30 PM. The Tourism Department has also arranged guides, drinking water, refreshments, and first-aid support for senior citizens.

Deputy Director of the Regional Tourism Office, Shama Pawar, said that interested participants can register online through the Google Form link or contact the Tourism Office directly. Authorities have urged people to join in large numbers and enjoy Pune’s Ganeshotsav through this guided darshan.
