Pune: In anticipation of the high demand during the upcoming Ganeshotsav, Central Railway has introduced six additional special trains on the Pune-Ratnagiri route.

These trains are part of the 222 Ganpati special trains that the railway department has planned to accommodate the large number of devotees traveling to Konkan for the festival. Booking for these trains commenced on August 7.

Ganeshotsav is one of the most significant festivals celebrated in the Konkan region, leading to a surge in travelers. To manage this increased demand, Central Railway annually schedules special trains during this period.
