Pune: The ongoing book festival in Pune received a notable guest as dancer and performer Gautami Patil attended the event, drawing attention with her remarks about embracing reading.

Known for her energetic dance performances, Gautami expressed her newfound interest in books during the festival, stating that the experience was both inspiring and motivational.

Speaking at the event, Gautami said, "I am usually invited to perform dances at various places, but this is the first time I have been invited to read books. This is such a large-scale book festival in Pune, and it’s an honor to be here. If I find free time in the future, I am determined to start reading books.

I thank Pravin Tarde for inviting me and for his support in helping me choose a book. Being here has given me both inspiration and direction."

Following her speech, filmmaker and actor Pravin Tarde, accompanied by his wife, presented Gautami with a book. A visibly moved Gautami shared, "I have been involved in dance since my childhood, but now I will surely start reading books. Everyone should read books.

Although I didn’t have the opportunity to do so earlier, I will make it a habit moving forward. I will start with books suggested by Pravin Dada and plan to begin with one about Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj."

Adding to her enthusiasm, Pravin Tarde stated, "I plan to gift Gautami the celebrated book Fakira by renowned writer Lokshahir Anna Bhau Sathe."
