Pune is witnessing a surge in Guillain-Barre Syndrome (GBS) cases, with 111 reported patients so far. As the city gears up to host the fourth T20 match between India and England on January 31, the Maharashtra Cricket Association (MCA) has announced several precautionary measures to ensure the safety and convenience of spectators at the Gahunje stadium.

In light of the increasing number of cases, the MCA will provide free purified drinking water to all attendees, following the directives issued by the state government. MCA Joint Secretary Santosh Bobade assured that the association is prioritizing public health while ensuring a seamless match experience.

"With the rise in GB Syndrome cases, we are strictly following government guidelines. To prevent any inconvenience to spectators, we will be supplying free purified water inside the stadium," Bobade stated.

Enhanced Parking Facilities to Avoid Congestion

Additionally, the MCA has made special arrangements to tackle parking challenges. A 45-acre space has been designated for parking, allowing spectators to park their vehicles free of cost.

The MCA has also shared relevant parking and access details on social media to help attendees plan their visit smoothly. "We have taken all necessary measures to ensure that spectators do not face any issues. Free parking facilities have been arranged, and we are actively sharing information through digital platforms," Bobade added.

The India-England T20 series match is expected to witness a high turnout of cricket enthusiasts. With public health concerns on the rise, the MCA is committed to implementing all necessary safety precautions to ensure a secure and enjoyable match-day experience.
