Pune: Gera Developments Private Limited (GDPL) has undertaken transformative steps to enhance educational infrastructure in Shree Kshetra Mahabaleshwar, District Satara, as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives.

The company has introduced a fully equipped computer lab and appointed English teachers in Zilla Parishad schools, providing over 300 children from Mahabaleshwar and nearby villages with vital digital and language skills.

The computer lab enables hands-on learning in technology, while English teachers focus on improving spoken English, bridging critical gaps in education and empowering children for future opportunities.

Gera Developments Chairman Kumar Gera remarked, “English opens doors to the world, offering access to vast resources and conversations. Coupled with digital literacy, it equips children to overcome barriers and achieve their full potential. Our initiative is designed to inspire children to push their limits and embrace opportunities that transform their futures.”

In collaboration with the Zilla Parishad, Gera has also established a Sports Centre in Tandulnahi, catering to extracurricular development. The centre features facilities for football, volleyball, box cricket, and a gymnasium, encouraging children to balance academics with physical well-being.

Beyond Mahabaleshwar, Gera Developments has partnered with organizations like the Muskaan Foundation for Child Sexual Abuse prevention and Swayam Samajik Vikas Sanstha to promote education.

The company supports healthcare, education, and underserved communities through collaborations with Concern India Foundation, Mudita An Alliance, and Children Trust Goa, among others.
