G.H. Raisoni College to Host Intercollegiate One Act Play Competition

The preliminary rounds of the competition will be held from September 29 to October 10, 2024.

Pune: The G.H. Raisoni Sports and Cultural Foundation has announced the upcoming Raisoni Cup State-Level Intercollegiate One Act Play Competition, scheduled to take place from February 1 to 4, 2025.

This event aims to spotlight the exceptional talent in Marathi one-act plays and provides a vibrant platform for college students to showcase their dramatic skills.

The preliminary rounds of the competition will be held from September 29 to October 10, 2024, commencing daily at 10:30 AM at the G.H. Raisoni College of Engineering and Management, located in Wagholi, Pune.

Colleges from across the state are invited to participate, with students performing original one-act plays in the Marathi language.

Dr. R.D. Kharadkar, Campus Director of GHRCEM, and Dr. Pragati Korde, Head of the Drama Club, shared insights into the competition's objectives. They emphasized the unique opportunity it presents for students to engage in artistic expression and develop their theatrical talents on a significant state-level stage.

The grand finale will unfold at the G.H. Raisoni Institute in Nagpur, where participating teams will compete for an array of cash prizes:

  • 1st Place: ₹1,11,000

  • 2nd Place: ₹71,000

  • 3rd Place: ₹51,000

  • Incentive Prize: ₹21,000

In addition to these awards, individual performances that stand out will also receive recognition through motivational awards, encouraging participants to strive for excellence in their craft.
