GHRISTU STEM 2025: Experts Stress Need for Multidisciplinary Research and Skill Development

Pune: The first National Conference on Emerging Trends in Science, Technology, Engineering & Management (STEM) 2025 successfully concluded at G H Raisoni International Skill Tech University (GHRISTU), Pune, bringing together leading researchers, academicians, and industry experts from across India.

The two-day conference, held on March 7-8, featured presentations of 103 research papers from scholars representing nine different states. Discussions centered around the importance of multidisciplinary research, industry-academia collaborations, and the integration of cutting-edge technologies to solve real-world challenges.

In his keynote address, Dr. B. N. Jajoo, Former Principal, Government College of Engineering, Aurangabad, emphasized the role of technological investment, hands-on learning experiences, and cross-disciplinary research in shaping the future of STEM. He urged young researchers to work collaboratively, integrating science, engineering, technology, and management to drive innovation.

Speaking at the event, Dr. M. U. Kharat, Vice Chancellor of GHRISTU, Pune, highlighted how Artificial Intelligence, Data Science, and Robotics can transform industries and provide solutions to critical global issues. He stressed the importance of continuous learning, skill development, and the adoption of innovative teaching methodologies to bridge the gap between academia and industry.

The inaugural session featured a welcome address by Dr. Jitendra Kumar Mishra, OSD & Registrar, and was anchored by Dr. Dayanand Suryawanshi and Prof. Ruta Karandikar. Dr. Sandeep Raskar, Dean of Student Welfare, delivered the vote of thanks.

The conference served as a dynamic platform for knowledge exchange, encouraging researchers and professionals to collaborate on projects with practical applications, ultimately fostering a research-driven ecosystem that can shape the future of STEM education and innovation.
