Girl Dies by Suicide After Stalking and Sexual Harassment by Two Men

Pimpri-Chinchwad police arrested the accused, Kshitij Laxman Parad (20) and Tejas Pandurang Pathare (19), after the girl's father filed a complaint.

The incident took place at the girl’s home at around 7:30 a.m. on June 6, where she hanged herself using a rope. Investigators revealed that the girl had been the victim of persistent harassment by the two men.

Her father, attempting to understand the circumstances leading to her suicide, reviewed CCTV footage from the surrounding area. Additionally, he found a mobile number in her pocket, which led to the identification of Parad and Pathare.

The victim’s father informed the police that the two suspects had been stalking and sexually harassing his daughter for some time, eventually pushing her to take her life. Following the complaint, the police acted quickly to apprehend the suspects, who are now in custody.

This heartbreaking case has highlighted the dire consequences of unchecked harassment and the vulnerability of young women. The Bhosari police have urged the public to report any similar incidents to prevent future tragedies.
