The woman, identified as Aarti Debilal Saren (35), was discovered lying in a pool of blood inside her residence. The police have registered a case against her husband, Debilal Lakshmanchandra Saren, who is suspected to have fled to West Bengal after the crime.

The incident occurred sometime between the morning of October 4 and the early hours of October 5. According to the police, the victim and her husband had been tenants in a house owned by Dattatraya Shankar Chaudhari in Shinde Vasti.
