Pune: Two shocking incidents of sexual assault involving minor girls have surfaced in Pune’s Hadapsar area, sparking outrage and concern.

In both cases, adult men preyed on young girls, taking advantage of their vulnerability. Police have launched investigations into the incidents and have registered formal complaints under stringent laws, including provisions for sexual assault and the Atrocities Act.

The first case involves a 42-year-old man who allegedly entered the home of a 14-year-old girl in a government rehabilitation colony in Hadapsar. The man took advantage of the girl being alone at home and sexually assaulted her.

This was not the first time the girl had suffered such a crime, as it was revealed that she had been sexually assaulted two years prior. The emotional scars from the previous incident had not healed, making this second assault even more traumatic for the young victim.

Authorities have filed an FIR against the accused and are providing necessary support to the victim.

In the second case, a 31-year-old man allegedly enticed a 16-year-old girl with promises of marriage, only to later take her to a hotel in Loni Kalbhor, where he sexually assaulted her.

The victim has also reported that the man threatened and physically assaulted her. A relative of the accused was also involved, helping to coerce the girl into a sexual relationship.

The relative is accused of further molesting the victim by manipulating their familial relationship. Both men have been charged, and the case is being actively investigated by the police.
