Pune: At a tree distribution event in Baramati to celebrate his birthday, Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader and Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar, known for his witty remarks, once again showcased his humorous side.

While delivering his speech, party workers started chanting 'Ekach Vada Ajitdada' (Only one promise, Ajitdada). Ajit Pawar paused his speech and humorously remarked, "I wonder where this promise was during the Lok Sabha elections."

Ajit Pawar's comment caused an uproar of laughter among the attendees, and he too burst out laughing. During the Lok Sabha elections, Ajit Pawar had fought alongside the Mahayuti alliance and had fielded four candidates.

However, only one, Sunil Tatkare, managed to secure a victory. Against this backdrop, Ajit Pawar made fun of his workers in his unique style.

Ajit Pawar is on a tour of Baramati. To celebrate his birthday, a 'One Family, One Tree' initiative was launched. During this event, Ajit Pawar distributed saplings to families.

In his speech, Ajit Pawar touched upon various topics and also criticized the opposition regarding the Ladki Bahini scheme. With the upcoming assembly elections, political parties have ramped up their preparations.

Leaders have started touring various districts, and the government has engaged workers to promote their schemes. Deputy Chief Minister Ajit Pawar emphasized the Ladki Bahini scheme.

Opponents have raised doubts about this scheme, to which Ajit Pawar responded, "No matter what, this scheme will not be stopped. This is Dada's promise."
