IIT Bombay TechFest Pulse 2.0: GHRCEM Students Excel in Generative AI Challenge

Pune: Students from G H Raisoni College of Engineering and Management (GHRCEM) have made their mark on the national stage by winning first place at the prestigious Pulse 2.0 competition during TechFest IIT Bombay.

The team, comprising Ayush Yadav (Team Lead), Maitri Dalvi, Akarsh Jain, and Ojasvi Doye, impressed the judges with their innovative solution to the problem statement: "Streamline and Integrate Generative AI in the Indian Language System." Their project earned them a cash prize of ₹1.5 lakh.

The team’s mentor, Ananya Birla, Director of the Aditya Birla Group, played a pivotal role in guiding their efforts. The college mentors, Dr. Swapnil Mahajan, Head of the Eureka Centre, and Dr. Rachana Sable, Head of the AI & AI-ML Department, provided additional support and expertise throughout the competition.

Dr. R. D. Kharadkar, Campus Director of GHRCEM Pune, lauded the students’ accomplishment, describing it as a testament to the institution’s dedication to nurturing talent and fostering innovation in artificial intelligence and machine learning.

"This victory highlights not just the technical prowess of our students but also our commitment to advancing innovation in solving real-world challenges," he said.

Chairman of Raisoni Education, Sunil Raisoni, and Executive Director, Shreysh Raisoni, congratulated the team on their remarkable achievement and wished them continued success in future endeavors.
