Pune: Symbiosis Skills and Professional University (SSPU) hosted the second edition of the International Principals’ Conclave at its Kiwale Campus, bringing together around 20 principals from various schools and junior colleges across India, Sri Lanka, Nepal, and Gulf countries.

The conclave aimed to facilitate the exchange of best practices, success stories, and foster collaborative discussions to enhance global educational standards.

The event was graced by Dr. Swati Mujumdar, Pro-Chancellor of SSPU, Dr. Rajesh Ingle, Vice-Chancellor of SSPU, and other distinguished guests. In her opening remarks, Dr. Swati Mujumdar underscored the importance of providing young minds with gainful employment opportunities through either jobs or self-employment.

She emphasized that education is a key driver of socio-economic growth, aligning with the foundational principles of Symbiosis, which was established in 1971 by Dr. S.B. Mujumdar.

“As Maharashtra’s first skill-based university, our initiatives have garnered national and international recognition, underscoring the vital role of skill-based education in socio-economic development.

This conclave aims to bring principals together to share insights, learn from one another, and collectively explore ways to contribute to youth development,” Dr. Mujumdar stated.

The conclave featured several knowledge sessions, including discussions on topics such as the ‘Industry First Approach,’ ‘Building a Better Tomorrow,’ and shared best practices from the participating institutions.

The principals engaged in discussions on emerging career opportunities, the importance of bridging the skills gap, and the need for alignment between education and job market demands.

Highlighting the event, Dr. Rajesh Ingle delivered the valedictory address on 'The Way Forward,' providing insights into the evolving landscape of education and the future of skill-based learning.
