Pune, 28 July 2025: In a major update in the Pune drugs party case, seven people have been arrested after police raided a high-profile rave party at a luxury suite in Kharadi. Among the arrested is Pranjal Khewalkar, son-in-law of NCP (Sharad Pawar faction) leader Eknath Khadse and husband of Rohini Khadse.
According to officials, the rave party was held on Saturday night at StäyBird Azure Suites in Kharadi. During the investigation, police also discovered that another party had taken place at the same location a day earlier, on Friday. Authorities are now looking into both events and will be analyzing CCTV footage from the hotel to identify all participants. Those found to be involved will be questioned.
Police said that Pranjal Khewalkar had booked two suites for three days, Friday, Saturday, and Sunday, to host the parties. The team seized suspected cocaine (2.7 grams), suspected cannabis (70 grams), 10 mobile phones, two cars, hookah sets, alcohol, and beer bottles. The total seized material is estimated to be worth ₹41 lakh.
