Knife-Point Terror: Woman Gang-Raped and Robbed in Shirur Taluka

Perpetrators then coerced the victim into engaging in sexual activity with her cousin, recorded act on video, and subsequently raped her.

Pune: A horrific case of gang rape and robbery has been reported in Shirur taluka’s Karegaon area. Two men, identified as Amol Narayan Pote and Kishor Rambhau Kale, have been arrested for allegedly assaulting and raping a 19-year-old woman, forcing her into humiliating acts while recording the incident on video.

The crime took place on Saturday (March 1) night when the victim and her cousin were standing by the roadside, engaged in a conversation. The accused arrived on a motorcycle, threatened them with a knife, and physically assaulted both.

The perpetrators then coerced the victim into engaging in sexual activity with her cousin, recorded the act on video, and subsequently raped her. Before leaving, they also stole her jewelry.

After reaching home, the victim and her cousin narrated the ordeal to their family, who then informed the police. A case was immediately registered, and the police arrested the two accused. The investigation is ongoing, and authorities have assured strict legal action against the perpetrators.
