Pune: A 15-year-old schoolgirl from Loni Kalbhor (Haveli Taluka) was abducted on Monday afternoon (January 27) by an accused who lured her away. The Loni Kalbhor police acted swiftly and arrested the suspect within 24 hours from Khadki (Pune), successfully rescuing the minor and reuniting her with her family.
The minor girl, a Class 10 student, had left home around 3 PM on January 27, informing her family that she was going to a shop. However, she did not return.
Taking advantage of the situation, the accused allegedly lured and kidnapped her. When the girl did not return home, her mother filed a complaint at Loni Kalbhor Police Station, following which a kidnapping case was registered against an unknown person.
Considering the serious nature of the case, Senior Police Inspector Rajendra Panhale instructed the Crime Investigation Team to take immediate action. While investigating, police received a tip-off that 21-year-old Ritesh Rahul Kamble, a resident of Range Hill, Khadki (Pune), was responsible for the kidnapping.
The police used technical tracking and location analysis to trace the accused’s whereabouts. Acting on this information, a police team conducted a raid in the Khadki area and successfully arrested the accused on Tuesday (January 28).
Following the arrest, police safely rescued the minor girl and reunited her with her parents. The case is now being further investigated by Assistant Police Inspector Amol Ghodke of Loni Kalbhor Police Station.
The operation was conducted under the guidance of Senior Inspector Rajendra Panhale by a team comprising Assistant Inspector Anil Jadhav, Police Constables Vilas Shinde, Sunil Nagalot, and other officers.
