Lonikand Police Arrest Two Within 12 Hours for Firing Gunshots and Assault in Wagholi

Pune: A dispute between two groups in Wagholi escalated into gunfire and physical assault after an argument over photos of an alleged extramarital affair. One of the accused fired two rounds in the air before attacking two individuals with wooden sticks and fists.

The accused, identified as Omkar Ankush Landge (25) and Ganesh Sanjay Chaudhary (29), both residents of Wadegaon, Haveli Taluka, were arrested within 12 hours by the Lonikand Police. The complaint was filed by Ajit Mahadev Jadhav.

Gunshots and Assault Over Alleged Affair

According to the police, Ganesh Chaudhary demanded photos related to his wife's alleged affair from Ajit Jadhav, leading to a heated argument. Later, Ganesh called the other party for a discussion, but instead of resolving the matter, he fired two shots in the air and physically attacked two individuals with wooden sticks and punches before fleeing.

Swift Police Action

As soon as the complaint was filed, the Lonikand Police swung into action, mobilizing their resources to trace and arrest the accused within 12 hours.

The operation was conducted under the leadership of Senior Police Inspector Sarjerao Kumbhar, with Assistant Police Inspector Ravindra Godse and his team spearheading the investigation. Further investigations are ongoing to gather more details regarding the incident.
