Mumbai: The housekeeping contract of Mantralaya has been awarded to Krystal Integrated Management Services and the company is related to Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis’s blue eyed boy Prasad Lad.
In a recent development, Sumeet Facilities has been removed from the contract of housekeeping of Mantralaya as its extended contract ended last month.

Krystal Integrated Management Services is related to BJP MLC Prasad Lad, whose wife Neeta is Chairman and Managing Director of the company. Earlier, the contract of housekeeping of the Mantralaya was with BVG Group.

Then it was given to Sumeet Facilities for last three years. Initially, the contract was for two years and the cost was about Rs 4 crore. It was extended for one year.

This year, the tender for the housekeeping of Mantralaya was invited, where Krystal Integrated Management Services responded and quoted the tender below 18.8 per cent, that was lowest among the bidders. While Sumeet Facilities had quoted only 8 per cent below the estimated cost.

Hence, Krystal Integrated Management Services was selected for the housekeeping of Mantralaya.
Total cost of the contract is Rs 2.11 crore for a year and it may be extended after reviewing the quality of work by the company.

When contacted, Lad refused to comment on the issue and said that he is not directly related to the company. According to company’s CEO, there was a official tender process, where the company responded to the bid and won the tender though online procedure.

Official from Public Works Department (PWD) said that the department invited a online tender for housekeeping of Mantralaya.
