Bhiwandi: It was just another Monday (February 16), suddenly a blue-coloured helicopter made its landing in a ground of Vadpe village near Bhiwandi in Maharashtra. As soon as it was grounded, villagers flocked it to see and welcomed helicopter owner Janardhan Bhoir.

Meet 55-year-old farmer-entrepreneur from Bhiwandi Janardhan Bhoir who recently purchased a helicopter to make travel around the country to ease his dairy business. Yes, you read it right.

Bhoir purchased the Rs 30-crore helicopter crores after his friend suggested him that he travels to places for his business and with helicopter he can reduce the long wait at airports. Bhoir said that he often travels to northern states including Rajasthan and Gujarat for dairy business and thus decided to make the hefty purchase. "The reason to buy the helicopter is that I frequently travel to multiple places. I need it often to look after my dairy business and farming," Janardhan was quoted as saying by local reporters.

"The helicopter will be delivered and permanently stationed here from March 15. I have created a separate department for it, a 2.5-acre plot for the helipad, a maintenance centre, appointed an experienced pilot Mark Ramchanda, two helicopter engineers, with 24x7 security, accommodation for all and deployed other safety and security arrangements," Bhoir was quoted as saying by IANS.

With ownership of over 300 acres of land in and around Thane, he cultivates rice, vegetables and types of fruits. Bhoir put forth his step into the dairy business which is now booming with a turnover of Rs 50 lakh per month.
