Sonu Sood stopped from meeting migrants at Bandra Station

Mumbai: Bollywood Actor Sonu Sood, who has raised a helping hand to all the stranded migrants, was stopped at Bandra Station from meeting the workers. Previously, Sonu Sood was criticised by Shiv Sena Government which stated that the actor is “enacting a political script written by BJP.”

Police officials informed when Sood reached the station on June 8 to meet few labourers; he was stopped by the Railway Protection Force (RPF). The migrants were taking Sharmik Special train to Uttar Pradesh, and Sonu Sood wanted to meet them before they left for their hometowns. The police said, they didn’t stop Sood, but RPF did and added no such complaint about the same was registered.

Sanjay Raut, Shiv Sena MP believes BJP used Sonu Sood to show Maharashtra Govt in the wrong light. Sood helped migrants and labourers stuck in Mumbai to get back home, and he arranged for transportation and food for them, as well.

In Sanjay Raut’s weekly column ‘Rokhthok’, he doubted Sood’s intentions and the sudden rise of his kind deed on all social media platforms. He also claims Sood, had agreed to support BJP government on all social media sites, post-2019 assembly elections.

Although, Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray later on Monday, appreciated Sood’s initiative to arrange transportation for the migrants and lend a helping hand to the needy at the right time. They met at ‘Matoshree’, Uddhav Thackeray’s residence situated in Bandra suburbs.

Later on, the Defence Minister Rajnath Singh slammed Shiv Sena Govt on criticising Sood’s initiative to help the migrants. He also appreciated the actor’s dedication and instead criticised Maharashtra Government for being ungrateful.
