SSC, HSC examinations 2021 will be held as per schedule

Mumbai: Varsha Gaikwad, Maharashtra’s School Education Minister on Friday clarified that exams of SSC (Class 10) 10 and HSC (Class) conducted by the state board will be held as per the schedule.

There have been multiple rumours regarding changes in the exam schedule amid the surge in COVID-19 cases in the state. The board has made it clear through its latest notification that currently there is no change in the schedule and all written, oral and practical exams will be held as per the schedule. Dr Ashok Bhosale, Secretary, MSBSHSE said, “The guidelines for the upcoming written exams for SSC and HSC will be issued. Adhering all protocols of the COVID-19, students are requested to appear the examinations.”

Few days back, state Education Minister Varsha Gaikwad had declared that the oral and practical exam for Class XII (HSC) will be held between April 5 and April 22, while the written exam will be from April 23 to May 21. Oral and practical examinations of Class X (SSC), is scheduled from April 12 to 28 while the written will be conducted from April 29 to May 20.

Ahead of the exams, the government is conducting number of consultations to guarantee a safe conduct of the oral, written and practical exam. In line with the same, Maharashtra Education Minister Varsha Gaikwad has said that students with special needs would be able to choose their examination centres as well as avail scribe or reader services.

Varsha Gaikwad on Thursday also issued the notice regarding scribe or reader services for students with special needs. Students who wish to apply for a reader or scribe are required to register on research.net/r/readerwriter. All those who wish to offer their services as reader/scribe in the upcoming board exams can also register on the above mentioned link.
