Pune: In the early hours of Sunday (September 15) morning, two masked individuals caused a wave of destruction by vandalizing 13 to 14 vehicles in the Mayuri Nagari area of Pimple Gurav.

The incident, which took place around 4 a.m., was captured on CCTV, leading to widespread fear and significant financial losses for vehicle owners in the area.

According to the authorities, the vandals specifically targeted vehicles parked along the roadside. Armed with machetes, they shattered the windows and caused extensive damage. The CCTV footage shows the masked men methodically attacking the vehicles before fleeing the scene.

This is the latest in a string of similar incidents that have plagued Pimpri-Chinchwad in recent times. Previous cases of vehicle vandalism have left residents concerned about the safety of their property.

Although such incidents have occurred before, the scale of damage and the repeated nature of the attacks have heightened tensions in the community.

The Sangvi Police have launched an investigation and are actively searching for the two suspects seen in the footage. Local authorities are urging residents to stay alert and report any suspicious activity, while efforts are being made to ensure that such incidents do not continue.

For now, vehicle owners are left counting the cost of repairs, with many expressing frustration over the frequent occurrence of such crimes. Law enforcement officials have intensified patrolling in the affected areas to prevent further incidents and bring the perpetrators to justice.
