Pune: In a shocking incident in the Maval region of Pune, a customer was murdered following a dispute at the Jay Malhar Hotel in Indori. The Talegaon MIDC police have detained the hotel owner, Akshay Yewale, in connection with the case.

The victim has been identified as Prasad alias Kiran Ashok Pawar, while his friend, Abhishek Ashok Yewale, sustained injuries and is currently undergoing treatment at a hospital.

The incident unfolded around 9:45 PM when Prasad Pawar and his friend Abhishek reportedly got into an argument with a waiter at the Jay Malhar Hotel. The altercation escalated to a physical assault on the waiter, prompting him to call the hotel owner, Akshay Yewale.

Since Prasad and Abhishek were acquaintances of Akshay, the owner attempted to defuse the situation by asking them not to quarrel and informing them that he was on his way to the hotel.

However, during the phone call, the two men allegedly verbally abused Akshay before leaving the hotel.

Later that night, Prasad and Abhishek returned to the hotel armed with a sickle. They confronted Akshay, who was in the process of closing the hotel. A heated argument broke out, during which Akshay allegedly snatched the weapon from their hands and attacked both men.

The injured were rushed to a nearby hospital, where Prasad Pawar succumbed to his injuries. Abhishek Yewale is currently receiving medical treatment.

The Talegaon MIDC police have taken Akshay Yewale into custody and initiated further investigations into the case.
