Minor Driving Tempo Causes Death of Two-Year-Old Child; Case Filed Against Father

Pune: In a tragic accident, a two-year-old child lost his life after being run over by a water delivery tempo in Lonikand, Pune. The driver of the vehicle was a minor, and following the accident, the police have registered a case against both the underage driver and his father.

The deceased child has been identified as Malhar Akshay Chapode (2 years old). The accident occurred when a minor boy, who was driving the tempo after delivering water, accidentally hit Malhar. The impact caused the child to fall under the front wheels of the vehicle.

Eyewitnesses and police reports confirm that the child suffered severe injuries and was rushed to the hospital immediately. However, he succumbed to his injuries before receiving medical treatment.

Following the complaint filed by the child’s father, Akshay Chapode, the Lonikand Police have registered a case against both the minor driver and his father. The authorities are investigating further to determine the circumstances that led to the minor being allowed to drive a commercial vehicle.

The Lonikand Police have initiated a probe into the incident, and legal action will be taken against those responsible. Officials have urged parents and vehicle owners to ensure that minors are not allowed to operate any vehicles, as it poses serious risks to public safety.
