Pune: MIT Art, Design, and Technology (ADT) University has signed Memorandum of Understanding (MoUs) with over 48 leading companies across various industries, aiming to foster innovation and entrepreneurship among students.

The initiative is part of the university's efforts to align with the New Education Policy (NEP) by prioritizing research and skill-based learning.

Speaking at the MoU signing event, Executive Director of MIT ADT University, Prof. Dr. Sunita Karad, highlighted the challenges posed by the current education system.

She stated, "The current system provides more supply than demand, leading to an increase in unemployment. A new approach that integrates research and innovation-based entrepreneurship education is essential. This will encourage students' creativity, enhance their entrepreneurial skills, and address unemployment issues while contributing to national progress."

The event also saw the presence of company representatives and university officials, including Pro-Vice Chancellor Dr. Mohit Dubey, Dr. Virendra Shete, Dr. Swati More, Dr. Atul Patil, and Dr. Sapna Dev.

Dr. Karad emphasized MIT ADT University’s proactive role in implementing innovative educational strategies even before the nationwide adoption of the NEP.

"We have been focusing on research and entrepreneurship-based courses. Students are continuously exposed to cutting-edge technologies like Artificial Intelligence (AI) through specialized programs.

Previously, we collaborated with leading companies like Tata Motors and Apple. This year, the partnerships with over 48 companies will provide immense opportunities for our students," she said.

The new partnerships are expected to create pathways for internships, industry training, and real-world exposure, enhancing the students' readiness for the job market while promoting entrepreneurial endeavors.
