Motorcyclist dies after being hit by car

The deceased were identified as Ayush Gopal Pawar (6) and Anvisha Gopal Pawar (4).

Andhalgaon: Three persons on a two-wheeler were blown up by a speeding car heading towards Kasti from Nhavara side at Nirvi (Shirur) at around 3.15 pm on Tuesday. The deceased was identified as Manik Dashrath Pawar (60), a resident of Pawarvasti Nirvi taluka in Shirur district.

The deceased were identified as Ayush Gopal Pawar (6) and Anvisha Gopal Pawar (4). In this regard, Ganesh Baban Pawar (resident of Pawarvasti Nirvi Taluka Shirur) lodged a complaint at Shirur police station.

According to police, the complainant, Ganesh Pawar, lives with his family in Nirvi. His cousin Manik Pawar was riding with his grandson on a two-wheeler near Dhanaji Pawar's farm on Nhavara-Kasti road in Nirvi's jurisdiction.

The electric bike (MH12TF9706) was hit from behind by a speeding car (MH12HV3259) heading towards Kasti side from Nhavara side. Manik died on the spot and his grandchildren Ayush and Anvisha, who were sitting behind him, sustained serious injuries.

The unidentified motorist left without informing about the accident, causing the death of Manik Pawar. Police have registered a case against him.
