Pune: Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL / Mahavitaran) has introduced the "Lucky Digital Customer Scheme", encouraging low-tension electricity consumers to pay their bills online. The scheme will run from January to May 2025 and aims to reward customers who make consecutive online payments.

Scheme Details and Prize Distribution

Under this scheme, customers who have paid their electricity bills online for at least three consecutive months will automatically qualify for the lucky draw. Each subdivision will have five prizes, and a total of 2,385 prizes will be distributed across the 159 subdivisions in the Pune regional division.

The prizes include:

  • One smartphone per subdivision

  • Two smartwatches per subdivision

  • Two backup winners per prize (in case the primary winner is ineligible)

A total of three lucky draws will be conducted during the scheme period. If a selected winner does not respond within 10 days, or if they have pending dues, the prize will be awarded to the next customer on the waiting list.

Eligibility Criteria

To participate in the scheme, customers must:

  • Pay their electricity bill online for at least three consecutive months between January 1 and May 31, 2025.

  • Use net banking, debit card, credit card, UPI, wallet, cash card, NACH, QR code, NEFT, or RTGS for bill payments.

  • Have no outstanding dues exceeding ₹10 from the previous month’s bill.

  • Have not made any electricity bill payments (or online transactions) between April 1, 2023, and March 31, 2024.

Lucky Draw and Prize Distribution Process

The lucky draw will be conducted digitally, ensuring a fair and transparent selection process. Each customer will be eligible for only one prize during the scheme period.

Mahavitaran employees are not eligible to participate in this scheme.
