MSEDCL Sets Up New Lohegaon Branch Office; 69,000 Consumers to Benefit

The newly created Lohegaon Branch Office will cater to 28,700 electricity consumers. To manage operations efficiently, MSEDCL has added 18 new positions.

Pune: The Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (MSEDCL) has divided the Dhanori Branch Office under the Nagar Road Division to create a new Lohegaon Branch Office. Along with this division, 18 new posts have been established to enhance electricity services in the region.

With this new setup, both Dhanori and Lohgaon now have independent branch offices, ensuring uninterrupted electricity supply for approximately 69,000 consumers.

Urbanization Leads to Expansion of Electricity Services

In recent years, the Dhanori and Lohegaon areas, part of the Vishrantwadi subdivision, have experienced rapid urbanization, leading to increased electricity demand. Recognizing this need, Chief Engineer Rajendra Pawar submitted a proposal to MSEDCL headquarters for the division of the Dhanori branch office. After approval, the Lohgaon branch office was officially established.

New Lohegaon Office to Serve 28,700 Consumers

The newly created Lohgaon Branch Office will cater to 28,700 electricity consumers. To manage operations efficiently, MSEDCL has added 18 new positions, including:

  • 1 Assistant Engineer

  • 1 Office Assistant

  • 2 Chief Technicians

  • 6 Senior Technicians

  • 8 Technicians

The new branch office, built on MSEDCL premises, was recently inaugurated by Chief Engineer Rajendra Pawar. The event was attended by senior MSEDCL officials, including Superintendent Engineer Arvind Bulbule, Executive Engineer Ashok Jadhav, Additional Executive Engineer Sarangdhar Kenekar, and Assistant Engineer Rahul Bendre.
