Pune, 3rd December 2024: The Pune Police Crime Branch’s Anti-Narcotics Cell arrested three individuals attempting to sell drugs in the Sinhagad Road area, recovering narcotics worth ₹19.45 lakh.
The suspects, identified as Anshul Mishra (27), Arsh Vyas (25), and Piyush Ingle (22), were apprehended near Bhumkar Chowk in Narhe following a tip-off.
The operation, led by Inspector Sudarshan Gaikwad and Inspector Ulhas Kadam, resulted in the seizure of OG Kush cannabis, 15 grams of mephedrone, and 62 milligrams of LSD.
The accused have notable educational backgrounds. Mishra is a college graduate, Vyas previously worked as airline ground staff, and Ingle has completed a computer course.
This action is part of ongoing efforts by the police to curb drug-related activities in the city. The operation was executed under the supervision of senior police officials, including Commissioner Amitesh Kumar.
Police highlighted that OG Kush cannabis is a high-value narcotic in international markets and is chemically synthesized rather than cultivated in fields.
