‘Baba ka Dhaba’ now has a new restaurant in Delhi; Twitter reacts

The elderly owners of Baba Ka Dhaba which went viral on social media for their street-side food kiosk in Delhi now has opened new restaurant.

Talking to ANI, he said, "We're very happy, god has blessed us. I want to thank people for their help. I appeal to them to visit my restaurant. We will serve Indian & Chinese cuisine here.”

The 80-year-old Kanti Prasad and his wife Badami Devi on Monday inaugurated their new restaurant in Malviya Nagar, the same area where till a little over two months ago, they sold parathas, dal and rice.

The elderly couple’s destiny had changed overnight two months back after food vlogger Gaurav Vasan had fell upon their small outlet, where they were struggling to make ends meet amid COVID-19 lockdown. Vasan's quick appeal to his followers on social media made a huge crowd gathering outside their make-shift joint to enjoy home cooked food after the hear touching video made buzz.

Many people including politicians, celebrities and even companies came forward to support him. Baba’s new restaurant is near from his old kiosk and he asserted that he will continue to run his old joint too. This new restaurant is also known as 'Baba ka Dhaba'.

As soon as the news of the new joint made rounds of social media, Twitter erupted in joy and started making some hilarious memes on the same.
