On Monday, a fire broke out on the second floor of the Ministry of Education office located within the School of Planning and Architecture (SPA) campus on Vikas Marg near Delhi’s ITO, according to ANI. The blaze triggered a swift response from the fire department after being reported in the morning.
Officials stated that the Delhi Fire Service received an emergency call about the incident at approximately 9:37 am. Preliminary reports suggested that dense smoke was rising from the second floor of the building, which accommodates offices belonging to the Ministry of Education.
Eight fire engines were dispatched to the scene to contain the blaze. Firefighters began their operation as soon as they arrived at the premises, and the fire was subsequently brought under control.
No casualties or injuries have been reported, and the cause of the fire has not yet been determined.
In a statement, Delhi Fire Services said, "A fire broke out on the second floor of the School of Planning and Architecture building in the ITO area. The Delhi Fire Service received a call about the incident at 9:37 am, following reports of smoke emanating from the building. Eight fire tenders were rushed to the spot, and firefighting operations are underway."
