Drunk Driver Rams Car into Bengaluru Restaurant Wall, Pedestrians Narrowly Escape; Caught on CCTV | WATCH

A speeding, drunk driver in Bengaluru narrowly missed pedestrians before crashing into a restaurant wall and injuring a two-wheeler rider. CCTV footage has surfaced, and an investigation is ongoing.

In Karnataka's Bengaluru, a speeding car was captured on camera narrowly missing pedestrians before crashing into a restaurant wall. The incident, which has since gone viral on social media, involved a man named Derrick Tony, who was reportedly driving under the influence of alcohol. In addition to the crash, Tony also collided with a two-wheeler, injuring the rider, who sustained minor injuries.

According to NDTV, the event occurred on Thursday at approximately 11:35 pm on 100 Feet Road in Indiranagar. A nearby CCTV camera is said to have captured the incident. The CCTV footage from the area shows the car speeding at high speed, jumping the divider and narrowly missing a group of pedestrians who had just finished eating outside the restaurant. Fortunately, no fatalities were reported.

In another crash, where the car collided with a two-wheeler, the driver, identified as Jabir Ahmed, was struck and sustained minor injuries. He was promptly taken to the hospital for treatment.

Reports indicate that Derrick Tony, 42, was purportedly intoxicated at the time of the accident. He was driving at a high speed from 18th Main Road and did not manage to execute the left turn. Rather than turning, he crossed the divider and crashed into the wall of the Barbeque Nation restaurant, causing substantial damage. Furthermore, he hit a two-wheeler before colliding with the restaurant.

Following the incident, a case was registered under the jurisdiction of the Jeevan Bheema Nagar Traffic Police Station. The police have launched an investigation.
