IndianOil ONE, the LPG gas cylinder booking app, has overtaken ChatGPT to claim the number one spot on both the Google Play Store and Apple App Store in India. The surge in downloads comes amid disruptions in India’s LPG supply chain following the blockade of the Strait of Hormuz, a critical chokepoint for global energy transport.

Over the past few days, IndianOil ONE has consistently dominated app store charts, highlighting the urgency of securing domestic fuel supplies and the growing reliance on digital solutions for everyday needs.

In the past week, India has faced long lines as a result of an LPG gas shortage, prompting widespread efforts to obtain it. This situation has led many eateries and restaurants nationwide to either temporarily close or raise their prices until the supply stabilizes.

Furthermore, there has been a rise in the hoarding and illegal selling of LPG gas in India. This is a major factor contributing to the IndianOil One gas booking app's top position on both the Google Play Store and the Apple App Store.

Furthermore, a growing number of consumers are buying induction cooktops from online retailers like Amazon and Flipkart, along with rapid delivery services such as Zepto and Blinkit, among others. This trend is anticipated to persist for a while due to the intensifying conflict between Iran and Israel. It is uncertain how long the gas booking app will retain its leading position.
