Rajinikanth announces that he won't be entering politics citing health reasons

Megastar Rajinikanth announced that he won't be entering politics citing health reasons.

"This decision of mine will disappoint my fans and people, but please forgive me," says Rajinikanth in his letter shared on Twitter. He said in a statement that he sees as a message from God what happened during the shooting of his film Annaatthe.

The major declaration by Rajinikanth comes two days after his discharge from a hospital in Hyderabad. The Thaliva was discharged from Apollo Hospital in Jubilee Hills on Monday. The actor, who was admitted to the hospital after ‘severe blood pressure fluctuations’, has been advised complete bed rest for a week.

Earlier this month, Rajinikanth started shooting for his Tamil film Annaatthe in Hyderabad. Recently, four crew members of Annaatthe tested positive for COVID-19. Following the crew members’ diagnosis, Rajinikanth took the COVID-19 test on December 22 his result came negative. However, complaining about ‘severe blood pressure fluctuations,’ he had to be hospitalised on Friday.
