New Motorcycle Ride Turns Fatal, Youth Dies in Mundhwa Accident

The police have arrested the tanker driver, Santosh Shivsevak Singh (32, resident of Keshavnagar, Mundhwa).

Pune: A new motorcycle ride with a friend turned fatal for a young man after a collision with a speeding water tanker. The incident resulted in the death of Atharva Kumbhar. The accident took place near Renuka Mata Temple in Keshavnagar at around 12:30 AM on Saturday.

Aman Vinod Chaudhury (23, resident of Keshavnagar, Mundhwa) filed a complaint at Mundhwa Police Station. The police have arrested the tanker driver, Santosh Shivsevak Singh (32, resident of Keshavnagar, Mundhwa).

According to the police, the complainant had recently purchased a new motorcycle. He and his friend Atharva Kumbhar went for a ride up to Mantra Society and were returning home when the speeding water tanker collided with their motorcycle near Renuka Mata Temple.

While the complainant was injured, Atharva Kumbhar tragically lost his life.
