Nigdi Heist: Maid Allegedly Drugs, Robs Employer of ₹16.2 Lakh in Valuables

The complaint, filed by Devendra Gumanmal Lunkad, 67, details how the maid, identified only as Anamika, allegedly conspired with three accomplices to commit the theft.

Pimpri: In a shocking incident in Nigdi Pradhikaran, a maid allegedly drugged her employer and his family members, rendering them unconscious before stealing jewelry and cash worth ₹16.2 lakh with the help of her accomplices.

The complaint, filed by Devendra Gumanmal Lunkad, 67, at Nigdi Police Station, details how the maid, identified only as Anamika, allegedly conspired with three accomplices to commit the theft.

According to the complaint, Anamika had been working as a domestic help in the Lunkad household and had gained the family’s trust.

She allegedly mixed sedatives into tea and coffee, which she served to Lunkad’s son and daughter-in-law, causing them to lose consciousness.

Once the family members were incapacitated, Anamika and her accomplices reportedly stole cash and gold jewelry valued at ₹16.2 lakh.

Assistant Police Inspector Deshmukh is currently investigating the case, and a search is underway to apprehend the suspects.
