Nigdi: Youth Dragged on Car Bonnet After Argument Over Bike Collision

The incident took place between Akurdi Railway Station and Bijlinagar and has left 23-year-old Jekaria Jacob Mathew, a resident of Nigdi, with multiple injuries.

Pune, 4th December 2024: A youth was severely injured in a shocking incident after confronting three individuals over a minor collision involving his motorcycle.

The accused not only assaulted the youth but also hit him with their car, dragging him on the bonnet for a significant distance before fleeing the scene.

The incident took place between Akurdi Railway Station and Bijlinagar and has left 23-year-old Jekaria Jacob Mathew, a resident of Nigdi, with multiple injuries.

Mathew has lodged a complaint with the Nigdi Police Station, leading to the registration of a case against the accused: Kamlesh alias Ashok Patil (23), a resident of Bijlinagar, Chinchwad; Hemant Chandrakant Mhalaskar alias Sonya Chandrakant Mhalskar (26) of Talegaon Dabhade; and Prathamesh Pushkar Darade (22) from Walhekarwadi, Chinchwad.

According to Mathew's complaint, the incident unfolded when he and his friends were traveling on their motorcycle, and their bike was hit by Kamlesh’s car.

Upon questioning Kamlesh about the collision, he and his associates assaulted Mathew. As Mathew tried to escape, the accused struck him with their car, causing him to fall onto the bonnet.

They then drove with Mathew clinging to the bonnet from Akurdi Railway Station to Sambhaji Chowk in Bijlinagar, further endangering his life.

The accused fled the scene after the incident, leaving Mathew injured. Nigdi police are investigating the matter, and efforts are underway to apprehend the accused.
