Pune: With the upcoming relocation of all flight operations to Pune Airport’s new terminal by the last week of February, passenger footfall at the terminal is expected to rise significantly. To ensure smooth transportation to AeroMall, the airport administration has increased the number of shuttle buses from two to three.

The additional bus will help accommodate 240 more passengers per hour, facilitating the movement of over 2,500 passengers daily between the new terminal and AeroMall.

The new terminal lacks sufficient space for commercial cabs (yellow-number plate taxis) to pick up passengers. As a result, travelers needing taxis must first travel 570 meters to AeroMall. To ease this transition and ensure passengers do not have to walk, three shuttle buses have been introduced.

Apart from buses, 10 golf carts, jointly operated by the airport administration and AeroMall, are also available to transport passengers to AeroMall. Both services are completely free of charge.

Yuvraj Singh Rajput, Vice President, AeroMall, Pune Airport said, "We have increased the number of buses to improve passenger convenience. With additional buses, travelers—especially at night—will not have to wait long. If needed, we will further expand the fleet."

Service Overview

  • Total buses: 3

  • Trips per hour: 6

  • Daily passenger capacity: Approx. 8,640

  • Seating capacity per bus: 40

  • Passengers transported per hour: 240
