Pune: A parent has been arrested for allegedly assaulting and molesting a teacher inside a school classroom after she refused to step outside and meet him.

The accused, identified as Ganesh Suresh Ambike (45), a resident of Loni Kalbhor, was taken into custody by the Loni Kalbhor police. The police completed the investigation within 24 hours and submitted the charge sheet to the court.

The incident occurred on March 28 at around 11:30 AM when the female teacher was inside a classroom with her colleague. The accused, Ganesh Ambike, entered the classroom and asked the teacher to come outside for a private discussion.

However, the teacher refused and insisted that he speak inside the classroom. At this point, the accused grabbed her left hand and attempted to pull her towards him. When she resisted, he verbally abused her with obscene language and molested her.

The accused then threatened the teacher, saying, "Do whatever you want; I am not afraid of anyone." He proceeded to slap her on the left cheek. When the teacher’s colleague intervened, the accused pushed her away and verbally abused her as well.

Following the complaint, Police Sub-Inspector Dinkar Sonatakke arrested the accused and presented the charge sheet in court within 24 hours. The accused has been remanded to police custody, and further legal proceedings are underway.
