Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) organized public dialogue meetings across all its regional offices on Monday (October 14), aiming to enhance communication with citizens and address their complaints effectively.

These meetings provided a platform for residents to voice their concerns and suggestions regarding various civic issues.

During the meetings held in ward (regional) offices A, B, C, D, F, G, and H, a total of 69 complaints were submitted by citizens.

The distribution of complaints was as follows: 18 from Regional Office A, 7 from B, 5 from C, 6 from D, 4 from F, 11 from G, and 9 from H. The complaints primarily highlighted critical issues such as:

  • The need to clean drainage lines.

  • Maintaining cleanliness in public toilets.

  • Proper management of waste.

  • Filling potholes on city roads.

  • Taking action against unauthorized hoardings.

  • Repairing public taps.

  • Installing speed bumps on roads to enhance safety.

  • Ensuring sufficient water supply pressure for residents.

In addition to addressing these complaints, the municipal corporation took the opportunity to encourage citizens to promote voter awareness within their communities.

As the upcoming Assembly elections approach, PCMC urged residents to actively participate in the electoral process by exercising their right to vote.

Recently, PCMC has also introduced a new initiative called ‘Coffee with Commissioner,’ aimed at connecting the Municipal Commissioner Shekhar Singh with women from self-help groups who maintain public toilets in the city.

This initiative, which will be held twice a month, seeks to address the challenges these women face in their work and to improve public toilet facilities.
