Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) has achieved 100% paperless governance, processing over 32,000 tapals and 3,700 files digitally across 54 departments.

Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) has ushered in a new era of governance by becoming India’s first major municipal body to achieve 100% paperless administration. Since April 1, 2025, every file, tapal, and citizen service has been processed digitally, setting a national benchmark for smart, transparent, and efficient governance.

PCMC has processed over 32,000 tapals (official communications) and 3,700 files across all 54 departments without a single physical file changing hands. This historic transition was made possible by the seamless integration of advanced digital platforms, including SAP, GIS, and a robust ERP system.
