Pune: The Tax Department of Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation has taken action against Thermoverita Engineering Private Limited, a company associated with the controversial IAS officer Puja Khedkar. The company has been sealed due to outstanding municipal taxes.

Thermoverita Engineering Private Limited, located in Talwade Village, Jyotibanagar, is related to the Khedkar family, embroiled in controversy. The company, registered under M.D. Khedkar's name, owes the municipal corporation ₹2,77,781 in unpaid taxes.

Thermoverita Engineering Private Limited has been paying commercial taxes since 2009, with the last payment made in 2022. After failing to pay the due taxes amounting to ₹277,781, the municipal corporation initiated property seizure procedures.

The action was taken under the guidance of Municipal Commissioner and Administrator Shekhar Singh and Additional Commissioner Pradeep Jambhale-Patil, led by the tax collection and assessment department. Administrative officers Nana More, L.M. Kale, and relevant clerks and MSF personnel were present during the operation.
