Pune Crime: 11 Stray Dogs Poisoned in Mahindra Anthea Society; 3 Dead, Case Registered

Unknown person poisons food leading to death of three stray dogs and critical condition of others; police investigation underway.

In Pune’s Mahindra Anthea Society where 11 stray dogs were poisoned through their food, resulting in the death of three dogs and leaving others critically ill. Animal welfare groups alerted authorities after noticing the sudden deterioration in the health of these dogs.

The poisoned dogs were taken to the Government Veterinary Hospital in Aundh, where post-mortem examinations confirmed poisoning as the cause of death. The local police have registered a case and launched an investigation to identify and apprehend the culprit behind this cruel act.

Residents and animal rights activists have condemned the incident, demanding stricter action against such inhumane behavior. This case adds to a worrying trend of cruelty against stray animals in the region, prompting calls for better enforcement of animal protection laws.
