Pickup Carrying Farm Workers Overturns

The injured patients were treated by medical officer Dr. Priya Chavan at Manchar sub-district hospital.

Mancher: A pick-up car carrying farm labourers overturned near the outer ring road at Nighotwadi-Manchar (Taluka Ambegaon) on the Pune-Nashik National Highway at 6 am on Sunday. An elderly woman was killed and 10 others were injured in the accident.

At Chakan-Sawarli, labourers were travelling in a pickup car (MH14AZ0951) to harvest paddy. Baban Namdev Mhe (45), a resident of Narayangaon in Junnar district, was driving the car.

Near Nighotwadi, a pickup car was hit by one of them from the opposite direction. As a result, driver lost control of the pickup vehicle. The car overturned and crashed.

Suman Mahadu Jadhav (80) died. The injured have been identified as Bhamabai Balu Kadale (40), Manda Sandeep Gangat (22), Kartik Suresh Mhe (35), Aaradhya Suresh Mhe (4), Vitthal Soma Dudhwade (50), Manisha Shivaji Bhutambare (40), Saru Pandu Jadhav (44), Shantaram Anand Dudhwade (40), Yamunabai Shantaram Dudhwade (35), Hirabai Yesu Kale (45) and Krishna Sandeep Jadhav (45).

The injured patients were treated by medical officer Dr. Priya Chavan at Manchar sub-district hospital. Sahil is undergoing stitches treatment. Police constable Tanaji Hagwane visited the accident site and conducted a panchnama.
