Key Benefits of CCTV Installation

  • Ensuring a safer travel experience for women.

  • Curbing incidents of theft and harassment.

  • Reducing disputes involving bus conductors.

  • Encouraging more women to use public transport.

  • Simplifying monitoring of passenger activities on buses.

PMPML Joint Managing Director Nitin Narvekar said, "CCTV cameras will be installed in PMPML buses to enhance passenger safety. The tender process has begun, and installation will be completed in two months."

Recently, in a separate incident on MSRTC bus, Priya Lashkar, a sports teacher from Shirdi, had confronted a drunken man who misbehaved with her while she was traveling on the bus with her husband and child.

Displaying exemplary courage, Priya caught hold of the man and physically retaliated, ensuring he faced the consequences of his behavior. The incident was captured on video and has since gone viral, with many applauding Priya’s actions.
