Post Office Red Tapism Delays Passport Delivery to Baramati Woman

Baramati post office claimed that no postage bag was going to any other post office, including Malegaon.

Staff Writer

Baramati: A young woman from Malegaon in Baramati taluka had applied for a passport. Her passport was sent by the passport office in Pune to the Baramati office by speed post.

However, since her address was from Malegaon, the Baramati office sent the passport back to Pune and came back to the post office in Malegaon from Pune.

People are always experiencing what government work is like. If there is a central government department, then an even more complicated and time-consuming approach is adopted.

In fact, the distance from Baramati to Malegaon is only five kilometers. It cost the post office to send him back to Malegaon from Baramati and the person concerned got the passport late.

After inquiring about this at the post office, it was told from the Baramati post office that no postage bag was going to any other post office, not just Malegaon.

According to the rules, the packet has to be sent back to Pune and from Pune it goes to that post office on the basis of the concerned pincode.

Due to the traditional method, the post office and the person concerned also suffer for no reason. Therefore, citizens are demanding a change in this traditional system.
